  • Overview

    Support Microsoft SQL Server technologies including SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Clustering, Replication. Support includes attending various meetings, providing change implementation, serving as a SQL Server DBA SME for client projects. In addition to the hard skill requirements of the database platform we support, soft skills such as the ability to communicate within the team and our clients, positive attitude, ability to manage your time, problem-solving capabilities, being a team player and strong work ethic is encouraged. 


    Contractor shall do work that involves all the activities related to the administration of computerized databases.

    The contractor shall expect to do work that involves communicating with management, technicians, and end-users to evaluate need prior to development of an automated solution; preparing detailed reports which might include system requirements such as concurrent usage factors, data storage requirements, response rates, and discussing procedures for processing data through the use of data base management systems (DBMS) including relational data bases; projecting long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunctions with other managers in the information systems function; designing, creating, and maintaining databases in a client/server environment; conducting quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data; advising users on access to various client/server databases; designing, implementing, and maintaining complex databases with respect to access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods; applying knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end (e.g., COGNOS)/back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL); performing database programming and supports systems design; including maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design; and evaluating data base design tradeoffs, impacts on user expectations, performance levels, and space allocation requirements.


    • Minimum of 10 years of experience creating extracting, transforming, loading, and enhancing objects to ingest structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources; implementing, maintaining and optimizing data warehouses; and/or gathering and implementing user requirements.
    • Experience writing and executing scripts or programs using one or more of the following languages to acquire and manipulate data: Python, Java, .NET, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Scala, Spark, or MapReduce.
    • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in an IT-related field.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience providing project briefs to senior executives.
