  • Overview

    SE Solutions is seeking a Director of Human Resources and Talent Management to join our team in McLean, VA. In this role, you will serve as the strategic advisor and business partner to the leadership and management teams who will help direct and shape our rapidly growing organization. The Director of Human Resources and Talent Management will work closely with the President & COO, CTO, Marketing, Recruiting, General Counsel, and Operations Vice Presidents to establish, implement and manage HR policies and programs across the company to maintain and enhance our employee-oriented, high performance culture. This person will manage and lead the Human Resources team as their mentor and supervisor. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing all aspects of human resources including employee relations, performance management, recruiting and retention, benefits management and administration, compensation administration, training and employee development, compliance, and organizational development.

    Contributions

    • Build upon current Talent Management programs and augment service delivery strategies thereby enhancing approaches for achieving growth across the enterprise
    • Offer proactive leadership on human resource initiatives
    • Assist in facilitating strategic planning and initiatives, change management and organizational design
    • Design and maintain company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and programs
    • Direct company-wide benefits program to include: reviewing existing benefits options, determining corporate benefits strategy and offerings, managing broker and vendor relationships, analyzing and negotiating benefit costs to achieve the best alternative for the company, and managing corporate benefits communications and open enrollment
    • Lead company-wide continuous feedback and performance review process
    • Assist leadership with compensation management to include making salary recommendations for new hires and existing employees based upon job title, qualifications, performance, location, market and size/health of company; Conduct annual review of salaries across the company to ensure equity of pay based on the same criteria
    • Lead in the development of training programs to expand the technology capabilities of the organization.
    • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues as may from time-to-time arise; conduct effective, thorough, objective investigations and serve as an objective, third party in mediating conflict
    • Work closely with management and employees to continuously improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
    • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership to include coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions
    • Oversee and develop employee led culture committee
    • Maintain responsibility for organizational compliance with federal, state and local legislation and regulations pertaining to employment and personnel matters
    • Serve as a trusted, confidential advisor to senior leadership and be an in-person presence for both employees and leadership to answer questions and provide input into conversations as needed
    • Generate human resources data reports and presentations as necessary

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a related field
    • 12+ years of human resources experience with at least 5 years spent in a management role
    • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
    • Display of dexterity in making strategic and sound decisions in developing organizational goals
    • Ability to use statistics, data, and leverage technology in enhancing performance
    • Ability to demonstrate solid budgeting and management skills
    • Possession of the skills, knowledge, and experience working as a leader of human resources
    • Strong background in employee relations and engagement
    • Prior experience with talent acquisition and onboarding
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the experience to both navigate issues and develop action plans
    • Ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple requests and projects
    • Exceptional people skills including the ability to work well with a wide variety of people
    • A high level of discretion and emotional intelligence
    • A dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a related field
    • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification
    • Prior experience working in a growth company environment to include the ability to lead the HR function and support to scale and align with rapid corporate growth, wear many hats, pick up new skills quickly, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced company
