  • Overview

    SE Solutions is seeking a Business Development Director who will be a key driver of growth in the SE Solutions Federal Civilian portfolio working as a part of a fast paced and highly collaborative organization.  The ideal candidate must have the initiative to identify new business opportunities within a variety of Federal Civilian agencies and successfully mature opportunities through the capture process.  

    Contributions

    The Business Development Director will focus on a full range of business development activities from relationship maturation through initial capture management strategies. The candidate will report to the Senior Vice President for Federal Civilian.  The Business Development Director will support the development and execution of an account growth strategy, including identification of target accounts, customer relationship management, opportunity identification, capture management, proposal oversight as well as the participation in industry events.

    Qualifications

    A successful candidate will have:

     

    • 10+ years of federal contracting, business development and capture management experience
    • A demonstrated/verifiable track record of proven success in the design and implementation of sound business development and capture strategies and winning business in Federal Civilian agencies
    • Direct experience identifying and supporting the capture of multiple $15M+ to $50M+ opportunities within the Federal Civilian market
    • Broad and deep customer relationships in civilian departments or agencies.
    • Experience capturing Full and Open, ID/IQ, Multiple Award, and BPA contracts and task orders
    • A strong track record and demonstrated ability to identify, develop and win new business opportunities in the federal market including:
    • Opportunity identification
    • Opportunity capture strategy development and implementation
    • High-level proposal development oversight
    • Participation in Price-To-Win strategy development.
    • Deep experience in Federal contracts and vehicles, the procurement processes, and proposal development activities
    • Successful experience developing proposals in response to federal RFI’s, RFP’s, RFQ’s and creating unsolicited whitepapers and proposals in support of wedge/penetration opportunities
    • Must possess high-level (CIO, CTO, Director) and program level contacts within multiple Federal organizations
    • Has knowledge of and experience with customers, partners, and competitors in the federal information technology services, consulting services and cyber security market space.
    • Proven experience guiding resources of the Company to develop relationships and solutions necessary to successfully pursue and capture new business.
    • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment and have effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must demonstrate a highly ethical approach to business pursuits, and carry a highly regarded reputation within the industry
    • Hold a Secret or higher security clearance

     

    Desirable:

    • Should have knowledge and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations
    • Should have experience in small and mid-sized business, demonstrating knowledge and experience in the possible objections and issues that can affect the sales process
    • Participation in various industry organizations
